  9. WHY CUSTOM GLOSSARIES?

  11. The Glossary wheel is a plug-in tool for the HTML Grinder that allows you to store a glossary of Find and Replace settings which can be applied to all the pages in your Web site with a single click.

You may find it useful to keep several glossaries on hand which can be used for different tasks. For example, you might have one glossary that converts accented characters to their HTML equivalents, another glossary that adds HTML paragraph tags to unmarked text, and another glossary that expands abbreviations or shorthand notes that you use while editing pages.

  16. HOW TO MAKE CUSTOM GLOSSARIES

  18. You can make your own custom glossaries by making duplicate copies of the Glossary wheel.  Double-click your custom glossaries to open them and save entries in them. You can make as many separate glossary wheels as you like.

  20. To use one of your custom glossaries, drag your HTML pages onto the HTML Grinder icon. After the pages load, simply double-click on the glossary wheel you want to use.

  23. QUICK ACCESS TO CUSTOM GLOSSARIES

  25. You can have easy access to your most frequently used glossaries by placing them in the "Grinder Tools" folder. All plug-in tools in this folder appear in the Grinder's "Tools" menu.

  30. The Grinder comes with several custom glossaries to get you started. These wheels can convert accented characters and typographical characters like curly quotes and em dashes.
